A.
The Lodge is approximately
90 miles from the Twin Cities. Depending on traffic and your location,

Burnett County
is set in a beautiful wilderness area that encompasses 318 lakes, five
rivers and thousands of acres of public forest. Summer activities include
hiking, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, water
skiing, swimming and boating. Winter activities include, snowmobiling,
cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snow-shoeing, dog sledding, and ice
skating.

Where is the
closest bike or snowmobile trail?

The Gandy Dancer
Trail, the area's premier biking and snowmobile trail, is located directly
behind The Lodge and can be accessed from our parking lot. This former
Soo Line railroad has been developed into a multi-use recreational trail
system that travels through four counties. The 21-mile scenic trail
through Burnett County provides close proximity to the four villages
it parallels and offers easy access to food and information. For information

Are permits required
for the Gandy Dancer Trail?
A.
Bike permits are
required on the Gandy for anyone 16 years or older -- daily permits
are $3 and annual permits are $10. A seasonal permit is also required
for snowmobiling. All permits can be purchased at the front desk.

Do you have special
event space?
A.
The Lodge at Crooked
Lake has conference and event space for almost any type of event. Our
Gandy Dancer Ballroom holds up to 300 people and can be used for weddings,
parties or large scale conferences. The adjacent Bear Den offers a smaller
space perfect for more intimate events. On the second level we have
two larger conference & meeting rooms, plus smaller rooms that can be
